✨ Here’s what’s happening:
🛍️ Small Business Shop Hop: 2–8 PM — Stroll through town, shop local, and discover unique gifts while supporting our Kernville small businesses. Many will be offering special raffles and holiday discounts during the SHOP HOP!
🚗 Annual Hot Rod Toy Drive @ 3 PM (line up at 2:30 by the Big Blue Bear) — Bring a new toy to donate and join the community in spreading joy and making sure every child gets presents this Christmas!
🌟 Tree Lighting Ceremony: 5:30 PM — Sing along and watch as we light up Circle Park with Christmas magic!
It’s a day full of hometown cheer, community spirit, and holiday memories in the making. Come celebrate the season with us!
Hot Rod Toy Drive
🚗 Annual Hot Rod Toy Drive — 3 PM

Rev up your holiday spirit and join our community for the Annual Hot Rod Toy Drive, where classic cars and kind hearts come together for a great cause! Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate and help make Christmas brighter for children right here in the Kern River Valley.
Every toy collected goes directly to local kids in need, ensuring that families in our own community feel the joy, warmth, and magic of the season. Whether you’re cruising in your hot rod or cheering from the sidelines, your generosity helps make sure every child wakes up to a special gift this Christmas.
Come be part of a heartfelt Kern River Valley tradition—drive, donate, and spread holiday cheer!

Pancakes with Santa
🎅🥞 Pancakes With Santa — Presented by Click Realty! 🥞🎅
Bring the little ones (ages 12 and under) for a magical morning filled with holiday cheer! Enjoy fluffy pancakes, warm hot chocolate, and pictures with Santa himself.
Join us on December 20th at the Kernville Community Room (11447 Kernville Rd., Kernville, CA). We’re offering two session times: 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
✨ Cost: $15 per child

Sweater Weather Get Together
Join us for a cozy, joy-filled night at the Sweater Weather Get Together, happening December 13th from 8-11 PM at The Sportsman in Kernville! Throw on your most outrageous holiday attire and come ready for festive fun, community spirit, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Tickets are $35 each, this event is 21+, and all proceeds directly benefit Christmas in Kernville, a month-long celebration spreading holiday magic throughout the community.
The night will feature:

Whiskey Flat Days
COMING UP: Feb 13th - 16th
Whiskey Flat Days in Kernville is a lively annual celebration honoring the town’s Wild West history. Each year, the community steps back in time with old-west reenactments, lively gunfights, a parade, and a bustling vendor market filled with crafts and food. The weekend also features a family-friendly carnival, live entertainment, the Wild West Daze rodeo at the McNally Rodeo Arena, and plenty of spirited fun. It’s a vibrant mix of history, adventure, and small-town charm—perfect for visitors of all ages!

White Water Wednesday
Ready for adventure? White Water Wednesday is Kernville’s mid-week thrill ride on the wild Kern River. With discounted trip pricing and community spirit at its core, this event is the perfect way to experience the rush of rafting while connecting with locals and visitors alike.
Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned paddler, you’ll enjoy professional guides, exciting rapids, and plenty of laughter along the way. Grab your friends, gear up, and get ready to get wet — this is Kernville at its most adventurous!
Kernville Summer Festival
Celebrate summer in the heart of Kernville at our monthly Kernville Summer Festival, held the second Saturday of each month from June through September. This family-friendly, community-focused event brings Circle Park to life with local vendors, live music, and plenty of small-town charm.
Stroll through booths featuring handmade jewelry, woodworking, fresh produce, farmers market goods, local honey, and more. Enjoy live performances while you shop, eat, and explore — it’s the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday in Kernville.D
Cowkids Rodeo Camp

Saddle up for an unforgettable summer adventure at Cowkids Rodeo Camp! Designed for ages 4–9, this three-day camp introduces kids to the excitement of the rodeo in a safe, beginner-friendly environment.
Campers will learn horseback riding and horsemanship, horse grooming, mutton busting, stick horse events, dummy roping, and more. Each day also includes creative rodeo crafts, games, and challenges that build confidence while keeping things fun.
No experience is required — whether your child is brand new to the arena or already loves the western lifestyle, Cowkids Rodeo Camp is the perfect place to learn, laugh, and make memories.D
Wild West Daze Rodeo
